It’s that time of the year again. Scary decorations, movies, candy and music, oh my. I am so ready for this change in tempo. There’s nothing quite like the beginning of Fall and everything that comes with it.
Except uh, yeah, that Texas doesn't have Fall. Our weather hasn't changed much so we can only compensate by over decorating, closing our eyes and pretending it's fall-like. I mean, we did drop in the mid 80s so that’s good compared to the 100s we’ve been for months. We don’t get to experience the changing color in the leaves or that cool autumn breeze, no we don't, but we do what we can to fit in with the rest of the country.
Halloween is upon us and while it’s not my favorite “holiday”, I do try my best to make it as fun for my girls as possible. We decorate, we buy the candy, we find the perfect costume and then in a blink of an eye, it's over. Like my daughter's sad face said to me this morning, "it all went by so fast". Yes, I was thinking the same thing.
So without further ado, Happy Halloween everyone! Yes, I know it's now over but just wanted to say it one more time. Just like that it started and just like that it's over. The good news is that now we get to move on to my favorite holidays of the year, starting with THANKSGIVING!
Oh no, I said thanksgiving in my Halloween post! That's a no-no. So then this happened. I did my own makeup in like 5 minutes and am darn proud of it. With contouring gone wild, I got to finally release my inner witch and let her be wild in all her glory. (That was creepishly done in third person) I came to one realization about myself though, I really do enjoy being naughty more than nice. (just please don't tell Santa)
And now for the funny/embarrassing ones. This was me fighting to get me some pretty ruby red slippers that "my sister" the wicked witch of the East got. I'm obviously the jealous wicked witch of the West. So yeah, why did she inherit the pretty slippers and not me? Mom's got a lot of explaining to do!
And finally, the family portrait. (yes, always crazy pixilated) Oh and that's my husband in the background. Don't ask.
