College Football Playoff Rankings

The First Playoff has been determined and the rankings are in!  The College Football Playoff replaced the Bowl Championship Series this season for no other reason than just because they felt it was a better way of making money.  The BCS used to match the top two teams in the country in a national football championship game but now the top four teams will have a chance for the win.  Ohio State will join AlabamaOregon and Florida State in the inaugural College Football Playoff on New Year’s Day.

This is how it’s going to play off in the well, the Playoff. The top four teams in the nation will battle it out for the CFP Championship and one of my favorite team made it to number one!  Yes, Alabama usually starts out slow but progressively gets better.  I can only hope the continue to do just as good because these last two games is where dreams are made or shattered.  I am so looking forward to this!  My New Years Day will now take an even better turn for entertainment and not just a hangover.
This is how it’s going to play out.  Alabama versus Ohio State and Oregon versus Florida State who are the returning champs from last year.  They beat out Auburn in what I thought was a crazy ass good game.  How did Auburn get to the championship you ask?  Well, no less than by defeating Alabama at the last second of the game by returning a missed field goal from Alabama.  Yes, let’s re-live it here shall we, all complete with the insane Auburn announcer and as well.  He's my favorite part.

The semifinal winners will meet in the College Football Playoff National Championship Presented By AT&T on Jan. 12.

Watch the video for the announcement here.  The top 25 teams in the nation ended up like this.  Not a pretty sight for Aggies fans like me who saw Texas A&M drop out of the rankings completely.  At one point we were gloriously at number 6 and saw the defeat creep in and never recuperated.  Tragic death I tell you but at least we got revenge and beat Auburn. Yes! I had even heard of talks about A&M possibly making it to the Playoffs at the beginning of the season but they were a little bit wrong-o. Ok, a lot wrong-o.  Oh well, there’s always next year!  And my Longhorns from the Big 12?  Well, let’s just say they don’t know what the top 25 feels like.  Here’s to never giving up and keeping the hope alive!  I have high dreams for my teams and this is why I watch every year.  Best sport ever!

Let the Playoffs Begin!
