Why I Blog

There are three reasons why I do but the main one is that it keeps me sane. Writing is a form of de-stressing for me. My own kind of brain yoga that I love to do so much.  It relaxes me and allows me to focus on my thoughts and just let them out.
  1. For Myself.  Nothing gets me at Zen that just having me and my laptop or journal time.  Usually it's in the mornings or when it's nap time or when dad takes the girls out or for the five minutes my baby picks up a toy she hasn't seen in a week and suddenly things it's the best toy in the world and actually plays with it, but mostly anytime I have time.  See I can't say quiet time because that is rare... if I can just get time, I'll surely will take advantage of that baby. Time is not usual for me (reason number one I haven't wrote that super awesome novel) so I take any time that I can get.  I've been journaling since it was introduced to me with my very first diary.  I still have it... and every other one since.  I have found out I don't have a type, any scrap piece of paper usually did. One day when I was about 11 or so, my mom bought me this little diary at the dollar store and I was hooked.  I didn't know what to do with all that privacy, it had a mini lock and everything! I was in love.  I wrote so much, I didn't realize I would run out of pages so fast. When I did, I would just write in any regular paper and stuff the pages in there.  There never was Diary number 2 from my mom, but since my love for writing had been awaken, any notebook I had for school I turned it into my priced possession.  When you love something, you will always, always find a way to get it done.
  2. For my Family.  What am I leaving behind, what will they treasure one day, my story, our story, our memories?  I don't know what else I can do to make my children, my grandchildren or great great great super great grandchildren remember our time if not through this.  Who knows if the Web will crash one day... I mean who pays this bill?  I've asked myself, would I like to read a blog from my great great great grandmother? Heck yeah! In a heartbeat it would become invaluable to me.  Photos, videos, her thoughts and memories of what went on in their time. Yes, it would be pretty amazing.  While my blog may not be any cool right now, 100 years from now, it might. My family, my husband, my children will all have a little something to remember me by.
  3. For Anyone I can help.  It might be dorky but this is who I am.  I am also a reader... it seems like reading and writing go hand in hand. (I guess this is why they bundle them in school) But yes, i also like to read and learn and junk but I also like to share what I know. The way I see it is If it helped me in any way, then maybe it might help someone out there too.  So my readers, if I think it's helpful, I'm gonna post it. That's me, a helpful kind of person.  And nice, sweet, intelligent and so on. ;)
You may have your reasons but these are some of mine.  I'm just a little self-centered, family loving, helpful kinda person, aren't I.  Welcome to my world! :)

Happy Blogging!
