The day went somewhat as expected. I already knew it was going to rain so we didn't have much time to lose. I managed to take a few shots of my girls before the egg hunt began since I knew I might not get to afterwards. I'm glad I did because as soon as we started cracking confetti eggs, the sprinkles and thunder and lightning began all around us. I would've loved more photos, specially of them chasing each other and seeing their cheerful faces. I had to manage with what I had, after all, the rain is much more important when you are in the country. I have learned to never frown upon rain. Like Eva!
For two weeks now I have prepared for this event, like every year, saving the egg shells. I washed and dried them and accumulated them just for Easter. The day before we sat down with paint and brushes and began transforming them into beautiful "works of art". I like to do this every year as a tradition and my girls truly enjoy it. We fill the egg shells with confetti, cover the opening and then paint them. It's more fun this way to know we made them and spend that quality time together. Someone always ends up full of paint or confetti or both but we have some good laughs.
Sophia and Camila never seize to amaze me at how amazing they are. They are growing up so fast and to compare them this year to last, they are doing so by leaps and bounds. I am so blessed to have them in my life and they are wonderful teachers to their little sister. They are the reason we plan for these events, to see them happy is our happiness. They have some wonderful memories they will cherish for life. I have posted more photos of our Easter in my photography page: Lorena Frith Photography: Happy Easter
Another Easter our Lord blessed us with with. Our family time, our happy time, our unforgettable time, this one was definitely all of these and more.
