Happy Easter!

Easter for our family is all about tradition... While sometimes we spend it with other family members, we usually spend it just with our family. Every year we make Easter eggs by saving egg shells for weeks so we can then paint them and fill them with confetti. We look forward to this day so we can finally hide them and the girls find them and crack them on each others heads! The chase is fun and the confetti flying everywhere is even better!

The Easter bunny still visits my girls so this year he brought them a basket like it does every year. Sophie loved them so much she even said "mom, the bunny is so good, he even brought us each a parakeet!" They are the cutest things ever. :)

While we do like to have the little kid fun with the eggs and the candy, we never forget what this day is all about. We are always grateful for Jesus giving his life for us so that we may have days like these to rejoice with our families. Our lives are gifts and should never be taken for granted. Today is just one more day that we live with his sacrifice ever present and always grateful for everything he did and does for us everyday.

App Hoarder Me...

While I am in App Hoarder recovery, I do like to play sometimes and try something new. You know how it is when you first get a new phone... Fill it chock full of junk apps. Guilty! Last week I had to do a factory reset on my Evo due to the App Hoarding problem I had. I couldn't do anything, my phone went crazy. I was screaming! I was all out of memory so I decided to start new. It was so hard to say goodbye to my old habits and to my Bubble App, but I had to... It was for my own good... the children suffer you know. It's a disgusting habit! But anyway, I'm cured now... I think.
One App that came with me to my new Hoard-free life is Androidify. You make a little Android of yourself by dressing it all up until it looks just like you. It's what you would consider a mini-me look alike... it's so fun. Try it. :)
So now I leave you with some of my masterpieces... Ok, so I was bored! ;)

Friendly Surprises

One thing I love about life are the unexpected friendly faces you can meet just about at any time and yesterday was one of those days.

Hardie and Shiloh

Hearing we were having company was such a fun surprise and we prepared to have a cookout that we hoped they would enjoy.  Taking Hardie and his wonderful wife Sybil around our place and being greeted by our many animals was so much fun them.  They were glad to meet new faces and they let their curiosity show. All my respects for Hardie’s amazing life stories… it was so Hardie and Sybilmuch fun hearing every one of them.

Here’s Shiloh giving Hardie sugars!

… TAKE OUT THE BBQ!!! =)

Fajitas and my home made Mexican rice was as good as always and were glad they enjoyed it. Hearing they had a great time with us and they enjoyed our food was all the reward we could hope for. Meeting Hardie and his wonderful wife Sybil was so much fun and can’t wait to have them visit once again! Thank you again for the wonderful friendship. =)
