Day at the Ranch

Just a few of my recent photos I took last week at the ranch. As you can see I like to photograph everything and usually end up exhausted from kneeling down so much.  I like to sit down and just enjoy all the photos I took and usually pick my favorites so here are some from last week. =)

In my collage is Gary playing with his "pet" bull Tuff and Camila with her Pony Shadow.  Mama Twittie and her chicks are doing great and being a good mama as always as well as my kitties are still sweet and lovely.

I took this photograph of two of my loving kitties yesterday and thought I'd share it. They are brothers and are always so loving and affectionate with each other, the way good siblings always should.

Beauty Shines Through

As I follow my daughters around I usually try to capture them with a beautiful pose or a beautiful background but this day nothing went as planned.  As I got my camera I turned around to find my almost 2yr old filthy as can be.  Oh no I though, my photos are ruined!  Then I thought for a second and decided to try this instead and began photographing her and soon realized the dirtier she got, the more beautiful she looked to me.  She got wet, she got dirty and muddy and she had so much fun.  Although I dreaded the cleaning up part, I did enjoy seeing her just being a child.  Uploading the photos I wondered, can dirty still be beautiful?  And after seeing the photos I took of her I soon realized that dirt or no dirt her true beauty still shined through. Sophie Gets Fishies

Sophia finally got her some pet fishies! My girls have had every kind of pet imaginable... from rabbits, baby chicks, baby donkies, ponies, kitties, dogs, goats, turkeys, ducks and some I can't even remember anymore.  She had not had the fun of caring for fish yet so we felt she was old enough to care for them.  Cleaning of the fish tank is the most annoying part of caring for fish but they are sure fun to watch.  Sophia got glow in the dark fish and are very hard to photograph... they move way to fast but they are very cute. So we are now proud owners of 3 glowing fish and even though my kitty Mia wishes I left the top open for her to scoop one up, I hope my girls do get to enjoy them every day. =)

C.A.T: The Best Mama Twittie

I love surprises and last week I woke up and find this tiny hen, Twittie with 7 new baby chicks roaming around. She has hatched several times and is such a great mom.  Even when a vicious dog came several months ago and killed most of my chickens, she survived because she was hidden with her hatching babies. I think she's so cute, brave, a protective mom and we love her so much. =) Even when she is so tiny she still aspires to be great.

This kitty stole my heart

I met this adorable kitty on Wednesday and decided to have a little photo shoot with him.  He was very cooperative and seemed to enjoy posing for me. =) Well, I like to think all my animals like posing for me but this kitty, boy or girl, was definitely loving the attention.

At one point I had over 12 kitties then many have gone missing since they grew up wild and only about five remained.  This one kitty on the left came back and I found him just hanging around, literally from a tree. Well, I love kitties as you can see from all my photos but these two little guys just stole my heart. =) Aren't they adorable?

Having Fun with Horses. =)

I wanted to share photos I took of my horses last week. They are very sweet and always a pleasure to watch and photograph. Sophia, Camila and Gary got to ride but me, well, I was the one with the camera, someone had to be! lol

You Capture: Feeling of Fall

The feeling of fall does not come early here in Texas so this challenge was rather hard but for some reason one of my trees decided to begin early by turning brown this year.  We've been getting so much rain lately, thank God, all the trees and grass are so green but this one decided to remind us to get ready for Fall! So today I am decorating for Halloween! =)
